Nimbus Screenshot is now part of FuseBase, a broader collaboration platform, and capture is one feature inside it. Screencappy is a full page screenshot tool and nothing else.
If you want captures that live in a shared workspace with links, portals and client collaboration, FuseBase is built for that. If you want a screenshot saved to your own machine with no account, that is what Screencappy does, for free.
What does Nimbus Capture do well?
Capture modes and sharing. It offers full page and region capture, annotation including blurring of confidential areas, and screen recording, with one link sharing and upload to Slack, Google Drive, Dropbox and YouTube.
Long time users have consistently praised its scrolling capture and its annotation tools. If sharing a link is the point of taking the screenshot, that is a real strength.
What does Nimbus Capture cost?
This is genuinely difficult to answer, and it is fair to say so plainly.
FuseBase's current pricing page sells four platform plans, from $39 per month for Solo up to custom pricing, and none of them is a Capture specific plan. Separately, a legacy Nimbus Capture Pro checkout is still live and sells Capture on its own at $60 per year. The Capture page's own FAQ describes a Pro Plan that no longer appears on the pricing page.
If you are evaluating cost, check which of those you are actually being sold before you buy.
Do I need an account?
Yes. FuseBase's Terms of Use state that creating an account requires an email address and other required personal information, and the Capture install flow leads to a registration page.
Screencappy has no account, no sign in, and no registration step.
Where do my captures go?
To the FuseBase service. Sharing by link is the product's headline feature, and the privacy policy confirms that content uploaded to or created in the service is processed there.
No local only save mode is described anywhere on the vendor's site. Screencappy has no upload path at all: captures are processed in the browser and saved to your machine.
